The Offroadgrip roof rack is a universal, modular kit-based mounting system for securely mounting loads and accessories on the vehicle roof. This version is suitable for VW T4 vehicles and is particularly suitable for off-road, campervan and motorhome applications. Made from high-quality stainless steel, the system enables flexible and stable mounting of a wide variety of setups. With specially developed Offroadgrip adapters, it is possible to mount, among other things, solar panels, work and exterior lights, awnings, roof tents, tarpaulins or sun sails – without compromising safety or load capacity. Thanks to the standardised Offroadgrip modular system, aluminium system profiles up to 40 × 40 mm can also be connected directly or indirectly and supported. VW T4 or Universal?
Please select your vehicle type. The VW T4 version is designed differently due to the slightly sloped roof in the transverse axis. The universal version of the Offroadgrip, on the other hand, fits the VW T5, T6, T7, and all other vehicles with a right-angled roof in the transverse axis.
The Offroadgrip roof rack in the universal version is a modular system for mounting accessories on vehicle roofs. This version is intended for use on vehicles with existing airline rails. The system consists of stainless steel components and is designed for individual configuration within roof rack setups. The specific design, combination of components and assessment of the overall load are the responsibility of the user. Within the system, different accessory components and adapters can be used. The selection and use of the respective components depend on the vehicle type, installation situation and intended application. The stainless steel outrigger is an accessory component of the Offroadgrip system and is used to extend the mounting point for awnings or other accessories. It is suitable for use on vehicles such as VW T4, VW T5 and VW T6 in combination with the Offroadgrip system or compatible airline rails. The outrigger shifts the mounting point outwards by approx. 82 mm. The integrated elongated slot with a length of approx. 65 mm allows flexible compensation of height differences and adjustment to different mounting points. Note: The possible load capacity of the structure depends on the respective mounting method, the number of outriggers used, the mounted accessories and the overall construction and must be assessed by the user at their own responsibility. The repair panel set for the rear suspension mount is manufactured as a reproduction and is suitable for vehicles such as the VW T4. It is intended for repair and reconditioning work in the area of the rear axle and suspension mounting points. The M6 mounting bracket is an accessory component of the Offroadgrip system and is used for mounting airline rails, keder rails as well as other accessories on the roof rack. It is inserted into the corresponding receptacle of the Offroadgrip system, while the accessory is screwed on from the outside. A standard 25.4 mm (1") airline rail can be mounted on the top outer edge at an angle, on the outer side itself, and on the inner side.
Initially for the VW T4
Currently, the Offroadgrip is available in versions tailored for the VW T4, T5, and T6. Additionally, a standard version for motorhomes is expected to be released by the end of October. Surface Technology
The Offroadgrip is always made from V2A stainless steel, which is subsequently coated with a black, impact-resistant powder coating. This ensures that the Offroadgrip is perfectly color-matched to standardized off-road accessories.
Also Available Uncoated?
The Offroadgrip will also be available in a limited edition as an uncoated V2A stainless steel version.
As customers, you will ultimately decide whether the demand is strong enough for a larger production run.
Secure Connection with the Offroadgrip Nut Bracket
One of the biggest challenges in my development process was creating a strong connection between the airline rail and the Offroadgrip. I had to meet three key requirements: a high level of security, easy installation, and a wide external support surface for the Offroadgrip. This led to the creation of the Offroadgrip Nut Bracket.
